INRAE presentation

The Institut national de recherche pour l'agriculture, l'alimentation et l'environnement (INRAE) is a public research establishment bringing together a working community of 12,000 people, with 272 research, service and experimental units, located in 18 centers throughout France. INRAE is a world leader in agricultural and food sciences, plant and animal sciences. Its research aims to build solutions for multi-performance agriculture, quality food and sustainable management of resources and ecosystems.

Working environment, missions and activities

You will be working in the Reproductive Biology, Epigenetics, Environment and Development Joint Research Unit (UMR BREED), comprising around 80 people, whose aim is to study the impact of the environment on embryonic and fetal development in mammals, and the long-term consequences of early disruptions to this environment. The unit comprises 5 research teams and a research support team.

Reporting to the Research Support Team (EAFC - 7 permanent staff), he/she will interact with all team members, as well as with the whole unit, given the cross-functional logistical support tasks assigned to him/her. He/she will mainly be responsible for managing the common laundry (planning and carrying out washing and sterilization cycles, monitoring and updating procedures, ordering consumables, scheduling and monitoring maintenance/repairs with external service providers, managing the laundry service) and managing the common store for the unit's laboratory consumables (stock management: orders and receipts, inventories, gathering user requirements, product prospecting, presenting store usage reports).

If you have a B driver's license, you may be required to travel occasionally, in a company vehicle, to pick up biological material from approved establishments for the unit's teams' research projects.
